Configuring the Internet Connection (ON-CAMPUS)
- If you are running Internet Explorer on Microsoft Vista Operating System AND you are not joined into the WIN2K domain, then please click and run the following script, lsa.reg, and accept all security warnings. You will need to restart your computer.
- To auto-configure the proxy settings on Internet Explorer (tested on I.E. 6 and higher) run this program (Proxy Config.exe) on your computer , otherwise follow these step by step instructions to configure it yourself.
STEP 1: Open Internet Explorer by double clicking on its icon on the desktop.
STEP 2: Go to the "Tools" menu and choose "Internet Options".
STEP 3: Click on "Connections" on the top of the window that appeared, then click on the "LAN Settings" button.
STEP 4: Finally, check the "Use automatic configuration script" checkbox and enter the following Address: "http://autoproxy.aub.edu.lb/autoproxy.pac" as shown. Then click on
the "Ok" button. Then on the "Ok" button in the bottom of the initial window in order to activate the changes and start browsing the internet.
