Ada Dodge Hall
Originally constructed in 1873, the Hall was reconstructed and
enlarged in 1885 through a grant from Dr. D. Stuart Dodge first
instructor of English at AUB, Treasurer, Secretary, and President of
the University Board of Trustees. It was named in memory of his
deceased daughter, Ada. The Hall was first used by the Preparatory
Department (now lnternational College) until 1898. Since 1900 it was
used as the administration building; and it was the original home of
the School of Commerce until that School was moved to Plin Fisk
Hall. During 1962-1963 it was reconstructed to house the main
Cafeteria, a milk bar, faculty dining room and recreation rooms, as
well as separate offices for the Economics Department.
