ESDU hosting The Lebanese National Training Unit (NTU) of The Near East Management Training in Agriculture (NEMTA)

An agreement was signed between IFAD and the AUB to establish a National Training Unit at the FAFS to be hosted by ESDU.

The Near East Management Training in Agriculture (NEMTA) is a subprogram of the Near East North Africa Management Training in Agriculture implemented by IFAD with a co-financing and support from the Center of Food and Rural Development and Environment of the German Foundation for International Development (DSE/ZEL). The NEMTA is implemented in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Yemen to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of agricultural, rural development projects and programs (ARDP/P). NEMTA s objectives are therefore to upgrade the skills of managers and senior staff of ARDP/P in methods and techniques of project/program management to improve the planning, organization, implementation and evaluation of ARDP/P.
