
Dr. Rabih Talhouk

Dr. Talhouk, Professor of Cell and Molecular Biology, brings a wealth of administrative experience and a critical understanding of AUB’s graduate issues to this position. He has served AUB as Chair of the Biology Department, and has held leadership positions on university committees. He has been involved in strategic planning, university accreditation processes, and faculty promotion and recruitment issues. Dr. Talhouk is a prominent scholar with outstanding scientific contributions to the study of the role of membrane proteins in regulating mammary growth and development and mammary epithelial cell differentiation. He also conducts interdisciplinary research on anti-inflammatory activities in plants available in Lebanon and used in traditional medicine.

Ms. Anouti graduated from AUB with an M.A. in Financial Economics and a B.S. in Computer Science with distinction. She has more than eight years of professional experience at AUB and at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). She worked in the fields of socio-economic development and research, policy analysis and advising to senior officials, capacity-building, resource mobilization and fund governance including project monitoring and evaluation as well as coordination of working relationships with international organizations. Hana is currently serving as Graduate Admissions and Student Services Coordinator at the Graduate Council. She looks forward to contributing to the AUB graduate initiatives and gain an enriching experience in academic governance and institutional development.

Kamal Abou Mikhael

Kamal Abou Mikhael's life journey and work experience have more than adequately prepared him for his role at the Graduate Council. After completing his Master's degree (Computer Science) at AUB, as a Graduate Assistant, he stayed at AUB and worked as Software Engineer and Analyst for over five years. Prior to that, he finished a Bachelor's degree in at the University of New Orleans (USA). As a result of his collegiate studies and accomplished career within AUB, he has acquired an appreciation of university life from the perspective of the students as well as the administration. Throughout these years, he has built relationships of mutual respect with people of various cultural and religious backgrounds. His background in the field of IT allows him to properly leverage technology for fulfilling the needs of students and faculty alike. Above all, Kamal has a deep desire to be in a position where he is closer to students and academic life, where he can more directly sense the impact of his contributions.

Sahar Al Khalidy Wehbe

Sahar graduated from AUB with a BA in Math and Sciences Elementary Education. She worked as Secretary at the Department of Arabic and N.E.L. prior to joining the Graduate Council as an Administrative Officer. Her interest in administration led her to earn a Diploma in Office Management from the Continuing Education Center at AUB. Her main role is to help maintain the office workflow as well as providing support to the Graduate Council team. Sahar looks forward to be an active participant in the growth of the Graduate Council in the coming years.
