Short-term (2007-2010): ‘Seeds of Hope, Trees for Tomorrow’

Objectives:

• Planting of 50,000 native trees and shrubs from over 20 species by the end of 2010 (International Biodiversity Year).
• Establishment of nationwide Community Forest Field Banks (CFFBs) throughout Lebanese villages, towns and cities.
• Capacity and awareness building on the importance of native biodiversity and its conservation as well as on sustainable tree production from seed collection to post-planting care.
