Radiation Safety Orientations
As per the University Radiation Safety Regulations, and the requirements of the Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission, the Joint Commission International (JCI) and the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Health Physics Services provides various radiation safety orientations for all users of sources of ionizing radiation at the University. All employees whose work involves the use of sources of ionizing radiation are required to attend yearly radiation safety orientations. First timers are required to sit for a quiz, and the certificates issued upon the completion of the orientation are to be added to the employees files in the Human Resources Department.

Radiation Safety Orientation Sessions are provided on a yearly basis to the following departments/division, or upon request:
- Diagnostic Radiology
- Cardiology
- Blood Bank
- Nursing
- Pediatrics
- Biochemistry
- Physiology
- Radiation Oncology
- Endocrinology
Radiation safety orientation handbooks are available for all of the above listed orientations.
