AUBMC receiving is the main receiving area for all materials purchased solely by the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Facility is located in the second floor of the medical center and occupies merely 110 m2. This section consists of two receiving clerks and three assistants. AUBMC receiving is divided into two subsections:

a. Departments / Clients Receiving
Responsible for the receiving of all purchased materials by various hospital departments and sections, i.e. all expense organizations.

b. Stores Receiving
Responsible for the inventory receiving of all purchased materials by the materials management department - AUBMC. This operation includes the receipt of all medications, general stores items, and operating rooms supplies.
