We are approaching the Centennial of our Women's League.  On Monday 3rd November 1919 the League was founded as an official organization.  Hence we are now starting the last decade of century-long efforts to serve the society in Lebanon.  Yet we still have much to do in the coming years, and I am confident that with the team spirit and dedication of the members of the League we can achieve a great deal and meet the challenges lying ahead.  We must make the coming years full of activities and events that display the important role of the League in social life and make us really proud to reach the Centennial.  We must also encourage new members to join and bring in new ideas for realizing the objectives of the League. By this only we can look back to the great efforts of our predecessors and ensure the continuity of the Women's League.

We must be most grateful to the American University of Beirut for harboring the League and helping in making it a significant pillar, and in enhancing the role of women in social and cultural activities.
