Gabriel M. Rebeiz

A trustee since 2007 and an AUB graduate (BEN ’82), Rebeiz is Distinguished Professor and the Wireless Communications Industry Chair Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Jacobs School of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. Formerly, he was a professor at University of Michigan. He is the director of the UCSD/DARPA Center on RF MEMS Reliability and Design Fundamentals, and leads a large group in wireless communication systems, phased arrays, and sensor systems. Rebeiz is an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering and a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He has received numerous awards for his research in antennas and microwaves, and for his teaching. He is a graduate of the California Institute of Technology (PhD electrical engineering ’88.)
