A trustee since 2018, David G. Bradley is the chairman of Atlantic Media, a company that includes The Atlantic, Quartz, Government Executive Media Group and National Journal Group. Earlier in his career, he founded The Advisory Board Company and the Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner), membership organizations that grew to serve the world's largest corporations, health systems and financial institutions. Bradley purchased the National Journal in 1997, and The Atlantic in 1999. His board affiliations include Council on Foreign Relations, General Assembly, KIPP DC, New America Foundation, Biden Cancer Initiative and the Manila-based Child Protection Network. A graduate of Swarthmore College (BA ’75), Bradley’s graduate degrees include Harvard University (MBA ’77), and Georgetown University (JD ’83). He is the recipient of an honorary degree from Swarthmore College (DHL ’11). He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
