A trustee since 2007 and emerita since 2017, Bellamy is the former chair of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF). She was previously chair of the Global Partnership for Education, executive director of UNICEF, and director of the Peace Corps as a member of the board of Innovative Finance. The first woman to hold citywide office in New York City, Bellamy held elective public office for 13 years, including serving as a New York State senator and as president of the New York City Council. Her early career in law and investment banking included work at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, and Morgan Stanley. She is a graduate of Gettysburg College (AB ’63) and New York University (JD ’68).
