A list of internship opportunities with credible local and international organizations is regularly shared by CCECS in order to support students in securing internships during the summer break. Students are also encouraged to identify internships themselves, but this is subject to prior approval from CCECS and HES management.
Internship Requirements
HES students whose major does not require an internship must complete a community-based internship with a local and international organization during the summer of the second year. Students are required to fulfill a total of 60 to 80 hours in the same organization in order for the internship to be counted.
Students failing to complete their internship in the summer of the second academic year must submit a valid justification. CCECS and HES management will take the necessary measures to ensure students successfully fulfill their internship requirement.
Process for Securing Community-Based Internship
- Apply to the internship that matches skills and interests
- Complete the Letter of Intention detailing all aspects of the internship; sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and submit both to CCECS for prior approval from CCECS Director and HES Director
- Upon completion of the internship, students are required to:
- Prepare a presentation on the internship experience in front of the host organization, HES and CCECS teams
- Submit a final report reflecting on their experience
- Obtain a certificate of completion form the host organization confirming successful completion of internship hours
- CCECS will send an evaluation form to the host organization to assess the intern's performance
