During the Fall semester, USAID-Higher Education Scholarship (HES) scholar at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Mohammad Al Waw, volunteered with the ProFuturo Digital Education Project. The main goal of this organization is to improve access to quality education among children in underserved communities, an aim that Mohammad is particularly passionate about. While working with the project, he designed and delivered weekly digital education sessions on various subjects (English, Science, Math, and Life Skills) at refugee-serving schools in the Bekaa. Reflecting on his participation, Mohammad learned about the importance and impact of digital learning tools, witnessing their potential to keep students interested in learning, enable self-paced studying, and develop their capacity for understanding.
