USAID-Higher Education Scholarship (HES) student at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Ghina Sweidan, is volunteering with the Learning Support Center at the Imam Sadr Foundation. Ghina participated in the Special Education Program, dedicated to assisting children with moderate learning disabilities and developmental/behavioral disorders by developing their self-reliance. Reflecting on her engagement, Ghina realized how this program helps raise children in a healthy and supportive community, nurtures their independence, prevents isolation, and responds to their natural needs for care and education.
