AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. Information Technology Department

Introduction

This policy is intended to serve as a guideline for the Information Technology Department at the
University Libraries.

Mission

The aim of the University Library Information Technology (UL-IT) Department is to determine the most cost-effective IT products, solutions, and integrations that answer for the business and functional requirements of the Library, in coordination with the AUB-IT Departments; participate in the planning, evaluation, development, and coordination of the library information technology needs according to standards and best practices; set-up and maintain existing IT systems and solutions operating within the boundaries of the Library according to latest technologies; assist in setting and securing access and use of computing equipment, information systems and electronic resources.
