The AUB University Libraries and the Interdisciplinary Design Practice Program at the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture invite you to an upcoming exhibit and workshop about 3D Printing at AUB.
3D printing is at the heart of the prototyping process, a step fundamental to design and innovation. At the Red Room makerspace in MSFEA, faculty receive requests daily from people wanting to see their designs come to life, working out any faults or improvements that can be made before proceeding with the product.
Time: The workshop will be held twice, to cater for more attendees.
Please sign up for one of the two timings below:
Place: Antoun Ghattas Karam e-Classroom- Jafet Memorial Library, AUB
This workshop is intended to expose students at AUB to the two types of 3D printing: SLA and FDM, both available at AUB.
The workshop takes attendees through the entire 3D printing process, from setting up the file to the finishing process after the print is done. Every step will be explained while a live demo of a 30-minute print using the FDM technique is displayed.
In parallel to the workshops, a collection of 3D printed projects and material will be on display at Jafet Library's main lobby for the AUB community to explore and examine. The items will remain on display till March 2, 2022.
