The University Libraries Archives and Special Collections Department is pleased to announce the posting of two new guides that document and feature the salient AUB archival collections.
The first guide “Archives and Special Collections Subject Guide
" classifies the collections according to subjects. It is a handy tool for scholars to prepare for their research at the AUB Archives. It categorizes the collections under main topics: Art

The second guide “Archives and Special Collections distribution by Media Type
" is organized to reflect the diverse and rich formats available for local and international researchers at the Department. The guide reveals information related to AUB Archives
that includes papers of Presidents, faculty, alumni and documents on student activities, etc. It also includes audiovisuals
, and postcards
that reflect the social, cultural and political dimensions of life at AUB, Lebanon and Middle East. In addition to these materials, there are the early Arabic periodicals and manuscripts, AUB theses and dissertations
, as well as maps.
Faculty members are highly encouraged to use these guides as focal points for their own research and assist their students in making use of the library treasures.
