Dr. Bassem Fleifel, an AUB University Libraries staff member at the Gifts and Exchange - Collection Development Section, published a peer-reviewed article in the 67th volume of the Journal of Arts, Literature, Humanities, and Social Sciences (May 2021) entitled: “الخطر الغربي على المُقاطعات اللُبنانيَّة خلال العهد المصري “, which translates into “The Western Threat to the Lebanese Provinces during the Egyptian Era".

A young and active researcher and writer by nature and practice, Fleifel had published, back in 2019, a book that sheds light on the Ottoman era of Lebanese, Levantine, and Ottoman history.
Fleifel recently published another peer-reviewed article in the WikiJournal of Humanities about the founder of the Ottoman Dynasty, Sultan Osman I. You can read the article here.
