The UL stands strong with the Lebanese community, despite it all

We hope that you and your families and loved ones are all safe. The University Libraries stand beside and mourn with the Lebanese community in these difficult times.

Thankfully, there were no reports of serious injuries among UL staff or students. However, we had considerable damages in the premises, whereby dozens of glass windows and doors were shattered, and most of the false ceilings fell and broke, in addition to a few other minor damages.

Despite it all, we remain functional and at your service, mostly through our remote services.

The web page also includes information related to borrowing and returning books.

In the words of President Khuri, “We have all witnessed the devastation to our beloved capital city with great pain. . . Now is a time for coming together to mourn, heal, rebuild, and repair. But none of us will face the difficult days and months ahead alone. We will do this hard work together as a community, across the medical center and campus as well as with our alumni and friends throughout Lebanon and around the world."
