The AUB University Libraries(UL) are glad to announce the launching of a new webpage for their Conservation and Preservation Section.
The Conservation and Preservation Section (CPS) is in charge of protecting and caring for AUB's cultural heritage, including special and exclusive items such as Early Printed Books, Maps, Manuscripts, Photos and Posters stored at the UL's Archives and Special Collections.
The CPS also repairs circulating materials that are in the General stacks, as needed.
The main purpose of the CPS is to take preventive measures to slow the deterioration of materials and maintain, as well as repair, the print collections at the UL.
Learn more about the role and policies of the CPS, and view a gallery of photos depicting preservation techniques by checking their page: https://www.aub.edu.lb/Libraries/CPS/Pages/default.aspx
