University Libraries: Services for AUB Faculty

​​Dear AUB Faculty members,

This is to invite you to make the best of the services and collections provided by the University Libraries.


Subject Specialists: these librarians give library instruction, teach users about library resources and tools, provide research consultation, design research guides, and help in data management plans and acquiring raw data for research/course projects. They can help in systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and meta-analysis, and assist in establishing and updating Orchid IDs, Scopus IDs, scholarly network profiles (e.g., Google Scholar profiles), and other services which may affect research indicators. These librarians include:

  • Library systems, applications, and website: please contact Ms. Mona Assi (, Ext. 2604)


  • Archives and Special Collections: the Libraries own 1,800 Arab and Islamic manuscripts, 100,000 photographs, 6,000 art and political posters, and 1,000 linear feet of archival material related to AUB, Lebanon and the Arab world. Ms. Samar Mikati (, Ext. 2610)
  • Reference and Lebanese Corner: reference sources mostly on Lebanon and the Middle East, including 600 Arabic newspapers and magazines on microfilm going back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Ms. Fatmeh Charafeddine (, Ext. 2621)
  • Digital Collections: a gateway to the Libraries' digitized collections, including manuscripts, maps, photos, posters, books, multimedia and other resources. Mr. Elie Kahale  (, Ext. 2603)
