Graphic Design students produce creative videos about UL as part of Motion Graphics Course

The third-year graphic design students taking the “Motion Graphics” course last spring with Dr. Lina Ghaibeh of FEA worked on animations targeting the main concerns in the University Libraries and presented amazing outcomes.

The Libraries invited the students to help portray certain problems by designing and producing short videos featuring the library and/or its services in a concise, yet creative way.

Themes of the videos covered: Libraries services are countless; Get to know your library; What can I do at the library? ; Silence at the library; Library Code of Conduct, and others.

The videos came out to be very creative and portrayed the issues at hand with a classy sense of humor. They target the entire AUB Community, but especially students who use library resources.

The students had great storyboards and characters and visited the Library premises many times when shooting the videos, which took an immense amount of work.

The video titles were: “It’s not that hard to find a book”, “Mission in Jafet”, “El Hob Ramani: Wedding in Jafet”, “Bob the Cat: The Librarian”, and “Wallah Haram”.

The University Libraries would like to thank all the students for their creativity and hard work, not forgetting Dr. Lina Ghaibeh, who guided the projects and who helped us see the students’ perspectives about the Library.

The videos have been posted on our social media platforms. Let us know what you think!
