On the occasion of International Museum Day, the AUB University Libraries (UL) are proud to launch their first online exhibits on Google's Arts and Culture platform.
These exhibits are the first three to be published, with more to come in the future, including AUB History Photos and Arab Cinema Posters, among others.
The UL was designated as this project's coordinating entity (between AUB and Google) and is the first AUB unit to create online exhibits on this platform, on the hope that other AUB departments will join soon.
The Libraries' exhibits on Google Arts and Culture were featured in an article by The National.
Below is a short description of the three published exhibits along with their links:
This exhibit portrays four decades of art posters in Lebanon and is based on Cesar Nammour's introduction to art posters in Lebanon. The exhibit is also available in an Arabic Version here.
This collection of Hussein Madi's art exhibition posters was donated to the UL following the "Exhibition on Art Posters in Lebanon," organized in March 2011 by the Steering Committee of AUB Arts Center. It consists of 18 posters dating between 1974 and 1995.
A collection of posters advertising some of Kerbage's plays between the years 1972 and 1995. The exhibit highlights Kerbage's main works and productions throughout his career.
Community members can also view the lists of the records and items exhibited on Google Arts and Culture via our AUB Libraries Digital Collections' page.
