Workshop: Research Data Management- Best Practices

Data acquired or generated for research purposes is extremely important and valuable, it is also available in abundance at AUB and at risk of being lost. The University Libraries are offering services to assist the AUB research community in managing their research data throughout the data lifecycle.

More than 20 AUB community members attended the University Libraries' first “Research Data Management Best Practices" session for this semester, held in the Antoun Ghattas Karam e-classroom in Jafet Library, on the morning of January 30.

During the hour-long session, Dalal Rahme, Data Services Librarian, addressed the different challenges faced when dealing with research data and provided solutions to these challenges. The session included an interactive discussion about the importance of data management across all subject areas.

Attendees learned about the services and tools provided by the library for assisting researchers in managing their research data both, ethically and efficiently.
