As part of an initiative by USFC, Student Affairs and the IT Department, the University Libraries are happy to introduce a Virtual Study Room via Webex, where students can enjoy quiet study time together in a safe, and appropriately monitored virtual space.
During the reading period, between May 15 and May 18, a Virtual Study Room will be held between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday and between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm during the weekend, and will be monitored by Library staff members at all times.

Virtual Reading Room Settings
- Students will remain on mute at all times while they are in the room.
- Students can choose between keeping their camera on, or off, depending on their preference (keeping in mind that having the cameras on will create an interactive atmosphere in the Room)
- Students will not be able to chat with other students, but will be able to chat with the attending staff member (host) to get support
- Rooms will be restricted to AUB Students only.
Virtual Reading Room Code of Conduct
All behavior rules fall under AUB's Code of Conduct, Title IX, and University guidelines. Standards of common decency and respect apply. The moderators reserve the right to remove anyone not respecting these guidelines from the session. This platform aims at helping students concentrate on working and studying in a library-like setting, and any commercial promotion or political exposure will be considered as abuse of this service.
Students who fail to abide by the Code of Conduct, or who show any inappropriate conduct while in the room will be dismissed by the Host.
Students who repeatedly show inappropriate conduct after being warned more than once will be reported to the Dean of Student Affairs and will not be allowed into the room again.
