Mayor of Paphos visit to Jafet Library

Mayor of Paphos, Mr. Phedonas Phedonos (who was AUB Founders' Day Speaker), Dr. Imad Baalbaki, Senior Vice President for Advancement and Business Development, and Mr. Yiannis Anthis visited Jafet Library on December 5, 2022, to observe the exhibit "A Journey across the Mediterranean" prepared by the Archives and Special Collections Department. The exhibit features a selection of photos, maps, postcards, and books portraying the socioeconomic aspects of numerous vibrant cities on the coasts of the Mediterranean sea during 19th and 20th centuries. Mr. Phedonos was joyed to inspect the Saul Rosenberg photo album that depicts trips across the Mediterranean, the photos of different Mediterranean cities as well as ports in Cyprus like Larnaca, Paphos and Famagusta as well as historical old documents, photos and publications related to prominent Cypriot alumni and visitors.
