Dr. Lamia Shehadeh narrates the life of her late father Dr. Asad Rustum

Dr. Bassem Fleifel from the Collection Development Department at the University Libraries and Dr. Michel Bakni from ESTIA (École supérieure des technologies industrielles avancées) collaborated in conducting an interview with Dr. Lamia Rustum Shehadeh (former AUB faculty) in March and was broadcasted through YouTube in August 2022.

Dr. Shehadeh narrated her life story events and experience, and she elaborated on the life and major achievements of her late father, Dr. Asad Rustum, the renowned Lebanese historian.

This interview was a joint work with Wikimedia Levant and Wikimedia Tunisia user groups.

On this occasion, we would like to note that in 2019, Dr. Shehadeh graciously donated her books collection (1200 titles) to the AUB Libraries. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that Dr. Asad Rustum, was one of the major players in starting the manuscripts collection at the Archives and Special Collections Department (ASC) at Jafet Library.
