Search PubMed for a topic, then save the search strategy as an alert so whenever a new record is added to PubMed that satisfies your strategy, you receive directly an email alert with these newly entered citations.
To receive email alerts for the topic "prevention of cross infection", go to PubMed and type prevention cross infection and click search
Then click "Save search".
My NCBI opens asking for your user name and password (if you have not registered before to My NCBI do that now).
Key in your PubMed user name and password, and click 'Sign In". When asked if you would like to receive e-mail updates of new items, select "Yes", then select desired options and finally click "OK".
Now, whenever new articles are indexed into PubMed about prevention of cross infection, you will receive automatically e-mail alert, listing these new citations, with the frequency that you have selected.
