The AUB MEPI-TLG SDGs program aims to nurture graduate leaders in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and therefore emphasizes on research in the areas of ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring peace and prosperity, and more. To this end, AUB and MEPI-TLG have set a path to enhance graduate studies and strengthen research centering around five SDGs research clusters that are aligned with UN Envision 2030 SDGs.
The MEPI-TLG SDGs program grants Masters' scholarship and leadership development training to academically qualified and economically deserving students who apply to any of the eligible graduate study programs at AUB spanning the faculties of Agricultural and Food Sciences (FAFS), Arts and Sciences (FAS), Hariri School of Nursing (HSON), Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MSEFA) and the Olayan School of Business (OSB).
In addition to requirements of the graduate study program, the MEPI-TLG SDGs program requires students to enroll in a three-credit gender studies course, and to work on a particular research project that is associated to their program of study. Furthermore, the students will be expected to participate in a multitude of civic engagement activities and leadership training workshops.
