Purpose:
The Faculty, Staff, Medical and Nurses Heroes Funds (the Funds) are relief funds created to assist vital and at-risk faculty and staff who are experiencing urgent financial hardship. The Funds will be utilized to mitigate loss of income and cover costs that stem directly from the negative impacts of the economic crisis in Lebanon. The Funds have been created to help faculty and staff respond to temporary and unforeseen financial emergencies such as those related to their children's education costs, housing loans, family healthcare bills, and others.
Eligibility:
Full time faculty and staff are eligible to apply to receive an award from the Funds.
Application process:
Applications can be submitted on a rolling basis to this link. The application should include a letter describing in full the temporary financial emergency and the reason for the financial hardship, with supporting documentation.
All applications will be reviewed by a Review Committee (the Committee). As part of the evaluation process, the Committee may request additional information and/or documents, interview the applicant, or seek additional inputs, e.g., from the faculty member's dean or from the staff member's unit director. The Committee will submit its recommendations to the president who will make final decisions on the applications.
About the fund:
The Funds are designated funds that are financed entirely by voluntary donations and gifts from entities or persons wanting to assist faculty and staff members facing unexpected financial challenges. The Funds do not receive funding from the University's operating budget.
صناديق أبطال أعضاء هيئة التعليم والموظفين والأطباء والممرضين
الهدف: صناديق أبطال أعضاء هيئة التعليم والموظفين والأطباء والممرضين (الصناديق) هي عبارة عن صناديق إغاثة تم إنشاؤها لمساعدة أعضاء هيئة التعليم والموظفين الأساسيين الذين يعانون من ضائقة مالية طارئة. سيتم استخدام الصناديق للتخفيف من عبء فقدان الدخل وتغطية التكاليف الناجمة مباشرة من الآثار السلبية للأزمة الاقتصادية في لبنان. ولقد تم إنشاء الصناديق لمساعدة أعضاء هيئة التعليم والموظفين على الاستجابة لحالات الطوارئ المالية الآنية وغير المتوقعة مثل تلك المتعلقة بتكاليف تعليم أولادهم، وقروض الإسكان، وفواتير العناية الصحية للأسرة، وغيرها.
الأهلية: أعضاء هيئة التعليم والموظفون بدوام كامل مؤهلون للتقدم للحصول على منحة من الصناديق.
عملية التقدّم للمنح: يمكن تقديم الطلبات على أساس متواصل على العنوان التالي:
ويجب أن يتضمن الطلب رسالة تصف بالكامل حالة الطوارئ المالية الآنية وسبب الضائقة المالية، مع المستندات الداعمة.
وستتم مراجعة جميع الطلبات من قبل لجنة المراجعة (اللجنة). وكجزء من عملية التقييم، قد تطلب اللجنة معلومات و/أو مستندات إضافية، أو مقابلة مقدم الطلب، أو قد تسعى للحصول على معلومات إضافية، على سبيل المثال ، من عميد الكلية التي ينتمي إليها عضو هيئة التعليم أو من مدير وحدة الموظف الإدارية. وترفع اللجنة توصياتها إلى الرئيس الذي يتخذ القرارات النهائية بشأن الطلبات.
حول الصندوق: الصناديق عبارة عن صناديق مخصصة يتم تمويلها بالكامل من خلال التبرعات والهبات الطوعية من الكيانات أو الأشخاص الذين يرغبون في مساعدة أعضاء هيئة التعليم والموظفين الذين يواجهون تحديات مالية غير متوقعة. ولا تتلقى الصناديق تمويلاً من الميزانية التشغيلية للجامعة.
