  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. The University encourages freedom of thought and expression and seeks to graduate men and women committed to creative and critical thinking, lifelong learning, personal integrity, civic responsibility, and leadership.

Yara Abboud

Yara Abboud obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, and she is completing her certification in Cognitive Behavioral therapy. Her counseling approach is integrative, which combines elements of Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral therapy used in a safe and compassionate space.

Yara has worked with children and adults in different settings including academic institutions and medical centers.

Her areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, and sexual identity.
