Substantive Change- MSCHE

Substantive Change Process for Accreditation

AUB is required to submit a Substantive Change request to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), our institutional accrediting body, and ensure approval prior to the implementation of the planned substantive change.

The commission considers many different types of changes to be substantive and therefore to require commission review and approval prior to implementation of the proposed change.

How does one submit a Substantive Change to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)?

Review the Substantive Change Policy and Substantive Change Procedures before completing the Substantive Change form. This form, adopted by MSCHE,  can be downloaded. Please contact the Accreditation Liaison Officer, Mrs. Boushra Rahal Alameh, to determine if MSCHE needs to review the planned changes.

Below is the timetable for MSCHE’s receipt, review and approval of anticipated substantive change applications to be considered in advance.
