Undergraduate Diploma Programs​

Teaching Diploma Program

The teaching diploma program prepares elementary and secondary school teachers. This requires specialization in a subject matter area that can be completed before or during professional preparation in the Department of Education. Once completed, this preparation culminates in a teaching diploma that qualifies a student to teach at either the elementary or the secondary level.​

Diploma in Special Education 

The diploma in special education provides knowledge and practical training in the area of special education for children with mild learning problems between the ages of three and fifteen years. Holders of such a diploma are expected to be able to deal with children who have learning/cognitive processing problems enrolled in special as well as in regular schools.

Diploma in Educational Management and Leadership 

The diploma in educational management and leadership provides knowledge and practical training in the areas of educational management and leadership. Holders of this diploma are qualified to become managers of schools and educational training institutions and programs.

    ​Undergraduate Diploma Programs

    Teaching D​iploma Program
    Completion of the bachelor's degree is a requirement for admission of new students to the teaching diploma programs. AUB students working for their bachelor's degree at AUB have to apply to the department directly. For more details, please check the Department of Education​ ​page.

    Diploma in Special Education 

    For admission to this program students may enroll as part of their bachelor's degree program or after completing the bachelor's degree. It is preferable if the undergraduate major is in education or in psychology, but students with other undergraduate majors may be considered.     Diploma in Educational Management and Leadership 
    Applicants  should  have  a  bachelor’s  degree  from  a  recognized university. A minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in an educational setting is also required. For more details, please check the Department of Education​ ​page.​​

    IMPORTANT NOTE:  All students (Lebanese or non-Lebanese) must secure from the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) - Equivalence Committee  (English, Arabic) (Beirut, UNESCO Palace area), either the equivalence of their diplomas or the permission to enter the freshman class.  The Equivalence Committee requires the students to have their official papers such as the original final high school or university grades and diplomas authenticated from countries where they studied: Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Lebanese Embassy.  Failure to submit the equivalence/permission to the Office of Admissions by course registration date will result in registration hold and delay/refusal of the residency permits for non-Lebanese students.

    4- Pay the application fee ($50)

    The non-refundable application fee can be paid in one of the following ways:

    Online: You can pay (ex: with credit card) while submitting your application online.

    Cash: You can pay at the Cashier's Office in AUB, by presenting the email (application receipt) with your AUB application ID number.

    Cash at OMT: Present your confirmation email  at any OMT branch, and verify that your name and AUB ID# are correctly listed on the OMT receipt. 

    Whish Money (Whish App): You can transfer your fees directly from the Whish application or visit any Whish Money branch or agent to execute your financial transactions.

    Wire Transfer: You can wire transfer the application fee to one of our bank accounts (listed below) and please make sure to include the Transfer Instruction referring to your applicant's full name: "Admissions application fee for applicant's full name."
