  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. The University encourages freedom of thought and expression and seeks to graduate men and women committed to creative and critical thinking, lifelong learning, personal integrity, civic responsibility, and leadership.

  AUB is accredited in the US by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and includes six faculties: Arts and Sciences, Medicine, Engineering and Architecture, Agricultural and Food Sciences, Health Sciences, and Business. AUB offers more than 130 programs leading to bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The main language of instruction is English.

Aida Sanioura Memorial Prize in Business

Awarded to a top graduating student majoring in business administration.

Ali Abdelbasset Sanioura Memorial Prize

Awarded to a senior graduating student studying business administration who is in good academic standing and demonstrates team spirit and commitment.

Dr. Emile Ghattas Memorial Award

Awarded to the best graduating student in the BBA program.

Gravitas Consultants’ HRM Leadership Award

This award is in recognition of leadership in the field of HRM through active engagement in promoting a positive perception of HR.

Imad and Annelie Baalbaki Award in Marketing

Conferred on a graduating student in business administration concentrating in marketing who demonstrates excellence in his/her academic studies.

John and Mary Saba Excellence Award in Accounting

Conferred on a graduating student in business administration concentrating in accounting who demonstrates excellence in his/her academic studies.

Mahmoud and Deeba Achour Endowed Award

Awarded to a graduating student who demonstrates good citizenship, was a finalist in local, regional, or international innovation competitions, and/or represented AUB in case competitions.

Mohamad Ali and Fathie Chahine Safieddine Endowed Award for Entrepreneurship

Awarded to a graduating student who has demonstrated a strong potential or path towards entrepreneurship and business ownership.

Nada T. Kobeissi Endowed Excellence Award in Management

Awarded to the top graduating student majoring in management who was a recipient of financial assistance and had the highest GPA.

Quantum Communications Award in Business

Awarded to graduating students in business with the highest academic achievements.

Randa Bdeir Awards

Awarded annually to undergraduate or graduate students.

Roosevelt and Georgette Fattouh Endowed Excellence Award in Business

Conferred on a graduating student majoring in business with top academic achievement.

Sami Kteily Excellence Award for Graduate Students

Conferred on a graduating master's student who demonstrates excellence while at AUB.

Samiha Tannir Student Sustainability Endowed Award

Conferred on a graduating student with high academic achievement and an exceptional commitment and contributions to sustainability initiatives in the community. The award honors Mrs. Samiha Tannir, an OSB graduate with an EMBA degree who was a dedicated member of the AUB human resources team.
