 AUBMC Corona Response Fund

The American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) has been working closely with the WHO, Lebanese Ministry of Health, and other public health officials in Lebanon from the earliest stages of the outbreak to develop and implement the most appropriate measures to maintain the safety of the community including our patients, students, and employees. We recently established a Pandemic Evaluation Clinic and Center (PECC) at AUBMC to provide screening and patient care. The PECC is located in a standalone building and includes a Flu Clinic and a 42-bed COVID inpatient Unit to care for those needing intensive, intermediate, or regular care. In a message to the AUB community announcing the completion of the PECC, President Fadlo R. Khuri noted that the facility would be “the focal point for AUB’s clinical response to the novel coronavirus pandemic” and enable the university and its medical center “to play an important role in serving the people of Lebanon and the region.”

For information about COVID-19 and daily updates from the AUB Medical Center (AUBMC), please visit aubmc.org.lb/COVID-19.

To help AUB deal with the current pandemic, we launched the AUBMC Corona Response Fund for contributions from donors who want to support the ongoing operations of the PECC. Proceeds from the fund will be used to purchase medical equipment, personal protective equipment, and testing kits; to support PECC operations; and for patient care.

Donations to the AUBMC Corona Response Fund can be made by check, credit card, or wire transfer (see details below). AUB is classified by the US Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your gift is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
