  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. Cancer Support Fund

The Cancer Support Fund was launched in March 2018. It offers financial and psychosocial support to financially disadvantaged adult cancer patients so that they can receive appropriate healthcare services. The fund also works to raise awareness of cancer prevention and support advanced research.

The Cancer Support Fund is affiliated with the AUBMC Adult Cancer Institute; Dr. Ali Taher, Director, Naef K. Basile Cancer Institute.

The Office of Development liaison is Salma Dannawi Oueida, Associate Vice President for Development, Alumni Relations, and University Events .
