Overlooking the Mediterranean, and situated on a hill in Ras Beirut, the campus of the American University of Beirut is one of its greatest assets and has a total of 64 buildings. The 60.9 acre (246,459 square meter) green campus includes an athletic field, a private beach, a bird sanctuary, and a repository of native and non-native trees and shrubs.
