Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) legend, and the longest-reigning UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva, visited AUB to conduct a martial arts seminar at the Charles Hostler Student Center (CHSC) on Saturday, August 18.

Coaches, staff, and students gathered at the CHSC activity room for a private session with Silva, during which he spoke about the latest UFC training trends, and shared tips on how to develop the abilities and techniques of the mixed martial arts (MMA) team at AUB. As part of the visit, Silva also participated in an exhibition fight with AUB student and World Professional Ju-Jitsu Champion Ramzi Yehia, offering him some training in preparation for his upcoming MMA tournament.

AUB University Sports’ Coach, Hassan Jizzini, who is training and leading the university’s MMA team, organized the event, hoping that it would contribute to the success of the University Sports and MMA team.  A media team documented this event on behalf of the MMA Federation in Lebanon.
