The Qatar Scholarship – EAA Program at AUB celebrated on June 15, 2022, the end of the academic year and first graduation of their scholars. Students from different terms gathered to celebrate in a casual and friendly atmosphere.

Students shared their experiences and memories from their time at AUB, and as part of the Qatar Scholarship – EAA Program. Dr. Lina Choueiri, deputy provost of AUB, addressed the graduating students. “Today's celebration connects us together. It also connects you to future graduates and alumni of the AUB-Qatar Scholarship," she said. “Regardless of why you chose to do it, your participation in this celebration today will be a tie that binds you together with other graduates. It binds you to us here, to AUB, and to thousands of alumni who have graduated before you, and to those that will follow."

Dr Joseph Costantine, Qatar Scholarship – EAA Program director congratulated the students on their graduation and thanked all the supporting units at AUB that facilitated the execution of the scholarship.

The gathering also included a video competition where students competed together with videos submitted about their experience at AUB.  Two students won the competition: Buthaina Al Abrash for most innovative video, and Mohamad Mreidan, for most creative video.

The event concluded with the launching of the program's website and a reception lunch that celebrated the first graduating cohort.
