Biography
After almost two decades of work in research in Public Health, Ms. Kaddour quit the ivory towers of
academia and joined the ranks of field social work. She worked as a counsellor for refugees of the
Syrian conflict in Geneva, Switzerland as part of the Confederation’s Resettlement Program,
especially with regard to the schooling of children and youth. In collaboration with various experts
in the domains of law, art therapy, pedagogy and migration, she co-founded an association called
“La Rose des Vents” whose mission is to assist the arabic-speaking refugees and asylum seekers
to develop and own their integration projects in order to become actors of their own destiny in the
hosting society.
