Thanks to Prof. Aram Yeretzian for initiating the research and for our docent volunteers, a comfort survey was conducted monthly throughout one year, stretching the entire campus grounds. This survey focuses on personal impressions on outdoor comfort and takes into account the sun’s position in the sky, coupled with the atmosphere’s humidity and other outdoor environmental aspects dealing with sound and smell.
Temperature and sound pollution was taken into account to measure the trail's comfort, as well as dust, and whether the path is in under constant sunlight. The below map is the result.
The result is a map indicating the most comfortable locations on campus per season; Summer and Winter, with the red trail being best suited for the cold season and the blue for the warm.
