AUB graduate students in the arts and humanities are invited to submit applications to participate in the Global Humanities Network (GHN) Summer School to be held on July 5—17, 2026. GHN is a Cambridge University-led consortium of seven universities including AUB. This two-week program, under the title "Global Plant Lives: Exploring Plant-Human Connections Across Cultures," focuses on the emerging, interdisciplinary field of plant humanities and seeks to highlight the enduring significance of plants to human cultures, advancing the understanding of plant-human relationships through the methods and perspectives of arts and humanities scholarship to address the urgent global challenges of the Anthropocene. The Summer School will include lectures, workshops with botanists, and field trips.

There will be no tuition fees for participation in the Summer School. Cambridge University will provide participants with single rooms and half board at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge. Participating institutions are responsible for travel expenses. CAH at AUB will be able to provide two travel bursaries.
