The objective of the thematic program is to foster awareness of PRM as a major research area at the crossroads of Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science and Economics. We shall hope to achieve our aim by highlighting challenging, current, and exciting applications, advanced modeling techniques, mathematical tools, all driven by seminal, cutting-edge scholarship.
The program is targeting a broad and worldwide audience within the mathematical society including:
PhD Students in OM/OR and Researchers from related mathematical fields.
Senior level and Graduate students in pure mathematics or equivalent field who have taken advanced level courses in Probability theory/Stochastic Processes, Statistics and Linear Algebra.
Industry Experts, Practitioners and Scientists working on PRM related problems.
The program features short courses and seminars in PRM delivered online by prominent researchers in some of the most active research directions in the field. Courses and seminars are structured around four themes which will be explored sequentially starting November 8, 2021.
The four themes
were designed and structured in a coherent way yet each one is self-contained:
With contributions from a distinguished group of invited scholars:
The program is conceived and organized by Victor Araman (OSB, AUB).
