The USAID Higher Education Scholarships (HES) have committed to support hundreds of scholarship students with equal gender representation to pursue undergraduate degrees at AUB. USP and HES recipients are Lebanese as well as refugees/ displaced youth residing in Lebanon, all coming from public and private high schools from all districts across Lebanon or are technical school graduates. HES offer young students coming from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds access to high-quality college education, further enhancing their job readiness and maximizing their potential in supporting the advancement of their communities. HES scholars participate in an intensive civic engagement and leadership development program including extensive volunteer work, workshops and trainings, internships in community-serving organizations, and community service projects which they implement in teams in their own communities. The scholarship includes full coverage of tuition fees, housing or transportation allowances, books, a laptop, and stipends for the students' duration of study.
