Community Service Projects (CSPs) serve as a unique opportunity for scholars to build their capacities in community development work, while tackling locally-identified challenges in their communities. Under the guidance and framework of CCECS, CSPs are developed and implemented with the full participation of local partners, key stakeholders, and AUB mentors. This process begins by securing consensus on a general theme, and progresses as students carry out desk research, on-site rapid assessment, and stakeholder mapping to better understand the context and identify a relevant problematic and partner. Students then work together to develop a full-fledged proposal, after which approved projects are set on the track for implementation.
