Bio
Crystel Abdallah, Research Associate at CIBL for Women at the Olayan School of Business (OSB), American University of Beirut (AUB). Her work at CIBL includes research on organizational human resources policies as well as national labor laws in the MENA region, preparing inclusive HR policies and toolkits, providing feedback on HR policies and strategies, writing white papers, and supporting in technical workshops in the region. Crystel holds a Master's degree in International Affairs with a concentration in Development Policy from the Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science/International Affairs with a minor in Legal Studies from the Lebanese American University. In the past two years, Crystel worked as a researcher at OSB and her work involved multiple research projects including the use of smartphones by Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Before joining AUB, she worked with an NGO collecting data on the educational status of Syrian refugee children in Lebanon. Crystel is the recipient of Sholy Scholarship for Advanced University Studies at the Pennsylvania State University.
