American Univesity of Beirut

Staff Volunteers

Dear AUB Staff,

The university is looking for the assistance of staff volunteers to help with activities that will be taking place in connection with the 153rd Commencement Exercises on June 9-11, 2022.  This is a wonderful opportunity to get an "up close and personal" look at one of AUB's great traditions and to lend a helping hand to your university as well.

AUB will be hosting three ceremonies as part of its commencement exercises: the honorary doctorate and graduate commencement ceremony on Thursday, June 9, 2022; and undergraduate commencement ceremonies on Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11, 2022.

We are looking for staff volunteers to participate in the planning process and to help during the events between May 30 and June 11, 2022 by welcoming and guiding guests, assisting with crowd control, and facilitating communications.

All staff volunteers need to attend a training session on:

- Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 3:30-4:30 pm – WebEx.

During this session, you will be introduced briefly to the basics of commencement activities, rituals and norms, as well as general planning. Each staff member will be asked to either supervise a group of student volunteers or to assist in a specific zone.

To be a commencement facilitator, please click on this link here to register NO LATER than Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Thank you and we look forward to working with you.
