On Thursday, April 2, 2020 we launched the “Covid-19 Studio AUB-Annahar” on AUB campus. This served as a hub to produce Arabic programming with sound scientific content on the local and global impact on, as well as measures to combat, COVID-19. Programming reflected the issues from various perspectives, hoping to cover all angles: health, educational, economic, and social.
Episodes were broadcasted live twice a week—at 4:00 pm of every Tuesday and Thursday—on the official YouTube channel and Facebook page of Annahar.
This project addressed the needs of our community and provide information from a credible entity recognized locally and globally for its leadership in the areas of health care, education, and other academic disciplines.
We take this opportunity to thank AUB President Fadlo R. Khuri who fully embraced and allocated everything needed to expedite the implementation of this idea, which was originated jointly by the
Medical Committee at AUBMC and the
Office of Communications at AUB. We are also grateful to Dr. Nuhad Dumit, HSON and CME-AUBMC Office, and all the teams who have worked and continue to work, despite the known constraints, to see this effort through, especially
the Office of Information Technology
at AUB.
