Endotoxins are toxic components found in the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria. They can contaminate water, medical devices, and clinical solutions and may cause fever, inflammation, or severe reactions in patients if present above allowable limits. The Endotoxin Test ensures the safety and microbiological quality of water used in healthcare applications.

LEAF handles a wide range of routine standard analyses but it also handles unique and special services for samples that require significant development of methods and techniques. Client consultancy services for analytical testing and methodology per specific matrices is part of LEAF routine services and is done by appointments. Analytical Services
LEAF is equipped with state-of-the-art systems for extraction/digestion, analysis, and identification of a wide range of inorganic and organic chemicals. Its applications span the detection of contaminants in environmental matrices (water, wastewater, soil, compost), food and agro-food products (raw, processed, or canned), and non-edible oils (gasoline, diesel, industrial oils). LEAF also supports advanced food chemistry and microbiology testing, including nutritional labeling, pesticide residues, heavy metals, colorants, allergens, and aflatoxins. Additional services cover pharmaceutical analysis, occupational and public health research, and diagnostic testing—such as organic acids, trace and heavy metals, tobacco metabolites (nicotine, cotinine, 1-HOP), and exposure to organic pollutants detected in biological specimens (hair, semen, blood, urine, teeth, and other body fluids).
Specimen Collection and Submission
