A WEFRAH team in Qatar for the implementation of the TAMU-TAMUQ-AUB Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
A WEFRAH delegation visited key institutions in Qatar to develop research, extension, and educational opportunities that address the common interests of Lebanon and Qatar. The visit followed an earlier visit to AUB by representatives of the Texas A&M Energy Institute and Texas A&M-Qatar, also with the purpose of implementing the existing MoU. Grouped into health sciences, engineering, and agriculture, members visited agricultural and industrial complexes in Qatar and participated in a high-level joint meeting with faculty counterparts from TAMU and TAMU-Q. Research Day at AREC
FAFS faculty, staff and students from Department of Agriculture, the WEFRAH research group, the UNIFERT global community (sister countries from Jordan, Syria and Iran), dealers and big farmers, and other guests showcased their final projects in an exceptional FAFS research and UNIFERT open field day (July 31). WEFRAH principle investigators (PIs) toured AREC facilities to check their research space needs, with an eye toward launching the set-up of their newly funded WEFRAH projects at AREC.

WEFRAH's first online seminar
WEFRAH online conference took place on August 26 and 27. It featured first year research outcomes by WEFRAH community on various themes related to the Water-Energy-Food-Health Nexus. Nine research clusters across AUB presented their results , in addition to an annual report featuring goals and activities from WEFRAH coordination team. A meeting was held by WEFRAH researchers to discuss future steps and goals for WEFRAH initiative.
